When hard times hit Swallow Falls, its townspeople can only afford to eat sardines. Flint Lockwood, a failed inventor, thinks he has the answer to the town’s crisis. But when the machine spins out of control and threatens to bury the whole world under giant mounds of food, Flint finds he may have bitten off more than he can chew.

On March 9, 2017, nearly four years after the original short’s premiere, Cartoon Network announced that the television series had been greenlit.[5] The opening sequence was storyboarded by Japanese artist Hiroyuki Imaishi, co-founder of Studio Trigger.

On December 4, 2017, the series was confirmed to be renewed for a second season, set to premiere in 2018.

The show won the Shorty Award for Best Web Show in 2013 and was nominated in the Annecy International Animated Film Festival.It is also a 2015 Webby Award Honoree

Woody takes comfort in his pet, Malloy, a vulgar and spoiled grizzly cub who loves to put down the other rangers — especially Steve. The animated series is co-executive-produced by Daniel Tosh, who also voices Malloy.
